Old Court House is steeped in Wincanton history! Formerly a converted malthouse, between 1873 and 1877 Wesleyans met in what was then called the Good Templars temperance hall. In 1877 they took over an adjoining auction room and converted it into a chapel and school room. In 1916 a new chapel was built in the High Street and the old chapel became the County Court.
This detached period property has now been transformed into a truly unique family home minutes from the High Street. There is an unassuming entrance which leads to this amazing interior! Large mezzanine level with steps into the rather stunning open plan living space with kitchen units and central fireplace. High ceilings!
From here there are steps to the dining mezzanine and to the bedrooms. There are three double bedrooms - two ensuite and a main bathroom. To the rear there is a utility room and rear hall with door to the garden.
The garden is walled and very private with terrace and lawned area. There is also an undercroft which provides ample storage space. From here there is a gate leading to the rear where there is a covered carport providing parking for three cars.
A totally unique property!
